Are you a strong intermediate tester or early-career Senior who is ready to take ownership of automation?
This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on Quality Automation Engineer role where you won't simply maintain someone else's testing framework. You'll help build the automation approach from the ground up.
You'll work closely with developers and delivery teams to make quality part of the development process, not something that happens at the end. From designing automated test suites to integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines, you'll have the opportunity to genuinely influence how software is built and released.
What you'll be doing🔧 Build & own test automation
- Design and build automated tests across integration, API, end-to-end and regression testing
- Help establish the automation framework, tools and best practices
- Write clean, maintainable test code that developers can work with
- Identify gaps in coverage and focus testing where the biggest risks are
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop practical quality gates that give the team confidence without slowing delivery
- Work with developers to investigate test and pipeline failures
- Improve test execution times and feedback loops
- Get involved early in requirements and design discussions
- Carry out exploratory and risk-based testing where automation isn't enough
- Test APIs and integration's across multiple systems
- Contribute to security and performance testing
- Experiment with AI tools to improve test coverage and efficiency
- Look at ways AI can support test generation, test data and regression analysis
- Help the wider team understand where AI can genuinely add value to quality engineering
- Work closely with Developers and delivery teams
- Bring a quality mindset into planning, reviews and retrospectives
- Share ideas and help establish better testing practices
- Communicate risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders we're looking forWe're open to a strong intermediate tester or an early Senior who has a solid technical foundation and wants to take the next step.
- Commercial experience with test automation
- Experience across integration, API, end-to-end or regression testing
- Good scripting or coding ability
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub
- An understanding of version control and modern software development practices
- A genuine interest in automation, quality engineering and emerging AI testing tools
