This is a senior infrastructure role with real breadth. You’ll help keep critical digital platforms secure, reliable and ready for what’s next, supporting a large environment where technology underpins daily operations, research, learning and collaboration.

You’ll be close to the architecture, the delivery and the decisions. Expect a mix of hands-on engineering, technical leadership, automation, lifecycle management and platform improvement. The role

You’ll be responsible for core infrastructure platforms across servers, virtualisation, cloud, storage, backup and identity. Day to day, you’ll:

• Design, build and optimise Nutanix virtualisation environments 
• Administer Linux Server, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID 
• Support HPE hardware, Cohesity backup and Qumulo file storage 
• Drive automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python or Ansible 
• Contribute to security hardening, lifecycle management and resilience 
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and architectural input 
• Work closely with wider technology teams to improve reliability and performance 

Your fit

You’ll likely bring:

• Strong enterprise infrastructure experience, ideally 7+ years 
• Proven, hands-on Linux server experience - this is essential 
• Solid capability across Windows Server, virtualisation and enterprise infrastructure 
• Experience with Azure, M365 and hybrid cloud environments 
• Confidence improving, automating and modernising infrastructure platforms 
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach 

Nutanix, Microsoft, Azure, Linux or cloud infrastructure certifications would be useful, but they are not essential.
