The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on application support & development role where you’ll help improve the systems that keep a large, community-focused organisation running.

You’ll work closely with business teams to understand what they need, translate that into practical technology solutions, and support the applications already in place. It’s a role for someone who enjoys variety, from troubleshooting and development through to analysis, documentation, stakeholder conversations and system improvements.

There is plenty to get involved in, from resolving issues and reducing repeat problems through to supporting upgrades and contributing to the wider applications roadmap.

The Role:

• Provide application support, systems analysis, & business analysis 
• Develop & enhance applications, web solutions, & reports 
• Diagnose application faults & manage support requests 
• Maintain service levels & improve the end-user experience 
• Identify trends & reduce recurring issues 
• Work with business teams to improve processes through technology 
• Support system upgrades & enhancements within your portfolio
• Test fixes & provide post-resolution follow-up
• Document solutions & maintain technical & user documentation

 
Your Fit:

• Experience in application support or systems management 
• Strong systems & business analysis skills 
• Practical programming experience delivering business solutions 
• Experience with report development & relational databases
• Confident troubleshooting & problem solving
• Clear communicator who can translate technical ideas for non-technical people 
• Customer-focused, organised, & able to build trusted working relationships 
• Comfortable working collaboratively with both technical & business teams
• A Computer Science degree or related qualification would be useful, but is not essential
