About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Consultant for a three-month contract, helping deliver an end-to-end reporting solution. This is a hands-on role combining stakeholder engagement, solution design and technical development across Power BI and SQL.

Must be based in Christchurch and have valid NZ working rights.

Contract Details:

• Length: 3 months
• Hours: 3-4 days per week
• Location: Christchurch-based

What you’ll be doing:

• Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs
• Identifying relevant data sources and assessing data requirements
• Designing end-to-end reporting solutions, from data through to dashboards and reports
• Developing Power BI dashboards and reports
• Writing SQL to query, transform and prepare data for reporting
• Working across the full BI development lifecycle to deliver practical solutions
• Exploring opportunities to use AI tools to support and accelerate development

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Senior BI Developer or BI Consultant
• Strong hands-on Power BI development skills across dashboards and reports
• Solid SQL skills and an understanding of data modelling
• Experience delivering BI solutions end-to-end, from requirements through to implementation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills
• The ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
• Experience using AI to assist development is advantageous
