Deliverables / Purpose:

This contract engagement is for an experienced AI practitioner and strategic advisor to support the leadership team as the organisation continues to adopt AI.
You’ll act as an independent sounding board, helping senior leaders understand where to focus their attention from a risk, governance and strategic perspective. The work is practical, commercial and executive-facing: translating complex AI concepts into clear business implications, governance considerations and oversight recommendations.
Success will look like a leadership team with stronger AI fluency, better confidence in AI-related decisions, and a clearer view of material opportunities, risks and oversight needs.

The skills and experience we need you to bring:

• Current experience helping organisations adopt, scale or govern AI capability 
• Strong understanding of AI strategy, business model change, operating model impact and workforce implications 
• Practical knowledge of responsible AI, AI governance frameworks, model governance and assurance 
• Experience setting up governance, accountability and oversight mechanisms for AI programmes or use cases 
• Familiarity with AI governance maturity assessments 
• Understanding of AI, automation and transformation in relation to process optimisation and control environments 
• Awareness of regulatory expectations across AI, conduct, privacy, resilience and customer outcomes 
• Strong grasp of emerging AI trends, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI agents and autonomous systems 
• Confidence advising Boards, Executive Committees, Risk Committees or senior leadership teams 
• Ability to build executive AI literacy without drowning people in jargon
