This is a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering role focused on helping take complex electronic and electromechanical products from design through to reliable, scalable production.
You’ll be working on Autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle technology used in agriculture globally, with a particular focus on PCBAs, wiring harnesses, test processes, production documentation and supplier engagement.
We are looking for someone who has both Electronics Engineering capability coupled with Mechatronic Engineering experience and or academic studies. You have ideally 3+ years experience in a Manufacture for Volume - this experience could have been gained across Whiteware, Marine Technology, Radio Communications equipment sectors (to name but a few) etc.

The role
Sitting within the Manufacturing Engineering team, you’ll support the development and production readiness of electronic assemblies and related systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional Mechatronic Engineering and Software Capability teams to ensure designs are practical, buildable and supportable in manufacturing.
You’ll also engage with outsourced manufacturing partners and vendors at component level, helping resolve technical queries, improve quality, and support delivery outcomes.
Day to day, you’ll be involved in:
- Manufacturing engineering support for PCBAs, wiring harnesses and electromechanical assemblies
- Developing test processes, fixtures, jigs, work instructions and production documentation
- Supporting engineering change processes and production readiness reviews
- Working with external manufacturers and vendors on component-level issues
- Running small projects independently from scope through to delivery
- Collaborating across Mechatronics, Software, Quality, Procurement and Inventory teams.
You’ll likely bring experience in manufacturing engineering within electronics, mechatronics or a similar technical environment. You’ll be comfortable getting into the detail, asking good questions, and working across both internal engineering teams and external suppliers.
You’ll bring:
- Experience with PCBAs, wiring harnesses or electromechanical assemblies
- Exposure to outsourced manufacturing at component level
- Confidence managing small projects independently
- Strong vendor engagement and technical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams
- Clear communication and a practical, delivery-focused approach
