The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on Data Engineer role with genuine ownership of a modern Microsoft Fabric environment. You’ll be the internal specialist shaping how data is structured, governed and used across the organisation.

The focus is practical and high-impact: migrating existing reporting into Fabric, improving data quality, building reliable pipelines, and helping business teams access insights they can trust.

It’s a good fit for someone who likes autonomy, enjoys translating complexity into plain language, and wants to build data capability that lasts.

The technology team is collaborative, pragmatic and broad in its remit. Data is becoming increasingly important, with investment in Microsoft Fabric creating a stronger foundation for reporting, analytics and decision-making across the business.


The Role: 

• Own and improve the Microsoft Fabric platform
• Build ingestion pipelines using Python, SQL and CI/CD tooling
• Support medallion architecture, metadata-driven frameworks and database mirroring
• Develop and secure Power BI reports, semantic models and DAX measures
• Manage Power BI workspaces, deployment pipelines and row-level security
• Coordinate the migration of existing reporting into Fabric
• Partner with business users to turn reporting needs into scalable data solutions
• Champion data quality, governance and continuous improvement 

Your Fit:

• 5+ years’ experience across Microsoft data warehousing and reporting tools
• Strong Power BI skills, including semantic modelling, DAX and security
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, SQL and Python or similar
• Understanding of CI/CD, data pipelines and modern data platform patterns
• Experience integrating data via APIs, mirroring or core business systems
• Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions
• Confident communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders
