Senior Procurement Advisor | Wellington
Fixed term October 2026 – June 2027 

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Advisor to join a government department within their Corporate and Transformation Group.

About the role:

This role sits within the Project Management Office (PMO) and focuses on procurement, sourcing and contract management across the organisation.
You’ll be responsible for:

• Providing advice on procurement policies and processes
• Running end-to-end procurement engagements
• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies
• Overseeing contract management
• Reviewing and improving procurement processes
• Supporting strong procurement governance and practices
• Working with stakeholders across the organisation

About you:

We’re looking for a senior procurement professional with experience across:

• End-to-end procurement
• Sourcing strategy
• Contract management
• Procurement policy and governance
• Process improvement
• Stakeholder engagement

You’ll need to be comfortable providing advice while also being hands-on and delivering procurement activity yourself.


Location: Wellington
Fixed Term: October 2026 – June 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
