Java | Spring Boot | AWS | Wellington

We're looking for an experienced Software Developer to join a collaborative Wellington-based technology team building cloud-first products used by thousands of businesses across New Zealand and Australia. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, business-critical systems where you'll have the autonomy to contribute ideas, solve complex technical problems and help shape the future of the platform.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining scalable Java applications.
• Developing and enhancing modern RESTful APIs.
• Working across cloud-based, business-critical systems.
• Collaborating with developers, Product and QA within an Agile environment.
• Contributing to secure, high-quality software development practices.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues and continuously improving existing solutions.

• Five or more years' experience developing enterprise or mission-critical applications.
• Strong Java development experience using Spring or Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, Kanban or Lean.
• A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to quality.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• A focus on secure software development.

• This is an office-based role in central Wellington, Monday to Friday.
