About the role

Deliverables/Purpose:
This 3 month contract is focused on building the enterprise architecture foundations for a major new healthcare/education programme.
You’ll provide technical architecture leadership across the programme, helping define the principles, standards, patterns, and governance needed to support a complex education and healthcare environment from the ground up.
You’ll be expected to bring depth across integration, cloud, data architecture, architecture governance, and technology roadmaps, while still being able to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders when needed.


Key Areas of Focus Include:
* Defining and governing enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns 
* Providing technical guidance across APIs, REST, event-driven architecture, and data integration 
* Assessing cloud architecture across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments 
* Shaping data architecture across modelling, platforms, relational, and non-relational design 
* Developing technology roadmaps that guide investment and delivery decisions 
* Supporting architecture governance to avoid duplication, technical debt, and misalignment 
* Mentoring Solution and Infrastructure Architects to lift architecture quality and consistency

* 2 days min Hamilton-based

The Skills & Experience Needed:
* Strong enterprise architecture experience in large, complex environments 
* Deep understanding of TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks 
* Strong integration architecture experience across APIs, REST, event-driven patterns, and data integration 
* Cloud architecture experience across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments 
* Strong data architecture capability, including modelling and platform design 
* Experience developing and governing technology roadmaps 
* Confident using architecture modelling tools and maintaining architecture repositories 
* Clear communication style, especially when translating technical decisions for senior audiences
