Join one of New Zealand's leading professional services organisations and play a key role in maintaining and evolving a modern Microsoft workplace environment.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Modern Workplace Engineer who enjoys the operational side of engineering – improving endpoint experiences, maintaining strong technical controls, and ensuring users have secure, reliable technology that simply works.

Working within a collaborative IT team, you'll sit between frontline support and senior engineering functions, taking ownership of escalated technical issues while helping drive continual improvement across the firm's modern workplace environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing Level 2 engineering support for complex incidents and requests
  • Administering and continuously improving Microsoft Intune and endpoint management capabilities
  • Managing application packaging, deployment and ongoing maintenance across the environment
  • Maintaining device provisioning standards and improving build processes
  • Executing and monitoring endpoint patching activities and remediating exceptions
  • Supporting Microsoft 365 services including Teams and identity-related administration
  • Investigating recurring issues and contributing to problem management initiatives
  • Implementing approved changes with appropriate documentation and risk controls
  • Coordinating technical activities relating to joiners, movers and leavers
  • Working with vendors and third-party providers to resolve incidents and restore services
  • Supporting meeting room and workplace technology when deeper technical troubleshooting is required
What we're looking for

You'll bring solid experience operating within a Microsoft-centric environment and enjoy balancing technical problem-solving with disciplined operational practices.

Essential Skills:
  • Microsoft Intune administration and endpoint management
  • Microsoft 365, including Teams administration
  • Identity and access fundamentals
  • Level 2 escalation requests through ServiceNow tickets
  • Application packaging and deployment
  • Endpoint provisioning and imaging
  • Patching and configuration management
  • Incident investigation and resolution
  • Working within structured change management processes
  • Creating clear technical documentation and maintaining high-quality ticket records
Exposure to environments with strong security and audit requirements will be highly regarded.

Working Hours:
  • 9 am to 5:30 pm
  • 1 day work from home
  • Based in Auckland CBD
  • Occasional travel to Wellington
