Salesforce Lead | 6 Month Contract

Help shape the future of a growing Salesforce ecosystem.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Lead to join a high-performing delivery team responsible for the ongoing development, enhancement and optimisation of a large-scale Salesforce environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll combine deep Salesforce expertise with architectural thinking, engineering governance and team mentorship. You'll play a key role in defining standards, guiding technical decisions and ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with long-term platform strategy.

This contract will suit someone who enjoys staying close to the technology while helping elevate engineering capability across the wider team.

What you'll be doing

• Acting as a technical authority across the Salesforce platform
• Leading technical design and solution development activities
• Providing guidance and escalation support for complex technical challenges
• Defining and enforcing Salesforce standards, coding practices and design patterns
• Driving modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automation and DevOps
• Supporting solution architecture and ensuring scalability, security and maintainability
• Coaching and mentoring engineers to build capability across the team
• Working closely with stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams to align technical outcomes with business objectives
• Identifying and managing technical risks, technical debt and platform performance considerations
• Supporting production stability, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

• Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience
• Deep expertise across Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce and Salesforce Flows
• Proven experience leading technical design within Salesforce environments
• Strong understanding of Salesforce integrations, APIs and platform limitations
• Experience with data migration approaches, tooling and governance
• Hands-on experience with Git, Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines and release management
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical leadership capability
• A passion for engineering excellence, quality and continuous improvement

• Marketing Cloud experience
• Data Cloud experience
• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certifications
