SAP Developer | 6 Month Contract

Build the next generation of SAP capabilities across a complex enterprise environment.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Developer to join a high-performing delivery team working across a modern SAP landscape that includes S/4HANA, SAP CRM, SAP BTP and cloud-based extensibility initiatives. This is a hands-on development role where you'll be contributing to the design, development and optimisation of SAP applications, integrations and extensions that support critical business functions. You'll work alongside architects, functional consultants and delivery teams to build scalable, maintainable solutions while helping shape development standards and best practices.

This contract will suit someone who enjoys working across both traditional SAP development and modern SAP cloud technologies, with a strong focus on quality, performance and long-term maintainability.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing SAP solutions across SAP CRM and S/4HANA environments
• Building and extending applications using ABAP, ABAP OO and modern SAP development frameworks
• Developing SAP BTP-based extensions and cloud-native solutions
• Working with RAP and ABAP Cloud development models
• Designing and consuming OData services and developing SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 applications
• Developing solutions on SAP HANA using AMDP and SQLScript
• Delivering integrations across SAP and external platforms using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs and APIs
• Conducting code reviews and contributing to development standards and governance
• Supporting performance optimisation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Collaborating within Agile delivery teams and contributing to technical design discussions
• Mentoring developers and providing technical leadership where required

What we're looking for

• Extensive SAP development experience within large enterprise environments
• Strong ABAP and ABAP OO development capability
• Experience across SAP CRM and S/4HANA platforms
• Hands-on experience with RAP and SAP BTP extensions
• Strong understanding of ABAP Cloud and SAP extensibility concepts
• Proven SAP Fiori, SAPUI5 and OData development experience
• SAP HANA development expertise including AMDP and SQLScript
• Strong integration experience across IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs and REST/SOAP APIs
• Passion for clean code, testing, code reviews and development best practices
• Experience tuning performance and troubleshooting complex SAP applications
• Functional understanding across core SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM and SD
• Experience operating within Agile delivery environments

Nice to have

• Neptune DXP experience
• SAP Integration Suite or PI/PO exposure
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
• Relevant SAP certifications
