About the role

Senior Automation Test Engineer

Work on products that end up in millions of homes around the world. We're looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join a highly technical product engineering team developing connected video, AI and imaging solutions. This is an opportunity to work on products where software, devices, cloud services and automation all come together.

You'll work alongside developers, product managers and engineers to build automated testing capability, improve product quality and help deliver reliable releases across a modern product environment. This role will suit someone who enjoys solving technical problems, building automation frameworks, and working closely with engineering teams to understand how products behave in the real world.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites
• Build automated testing capability across APIs, applications and connected devices
• Develop automated tests using Python or Java
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Work closely with developers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Execute and analyse automated test runs and provide meaningful feedback to engineering teams
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test data
• Support quality initiatives across the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to automation best practices and continuous improvement activities

What We're Looking For: 

Must have

• Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Strong coding capability in Python 
• Experience working with connected devices, IoT products or hardware-integrated systems
• Exposure to firmware or device-level testing
• Linux or Unix experience
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, GitHub Actions or similar
• Experience testing APIs and distributed systems
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Experience working in Agile product development environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers and technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with modern automation tools and testing methodologies
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C or BLE
• Experience with AWS or cloud-based environments
• Exposure to image processing, video products or computer vision technologies
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C or BLE
