With incoming investment and increasing customer demand, BTune is entering its next stage of growth. The immediate strategic focus is expanding engineering capability to accelerate product development, enhance platform scalability, and continue evolving a robust customer-ready solution.

The Role
 
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimisation of BTune's platform, software that enables energy and carbon savings for buildings globally. Your expertise will be crucial in technical decision-making, ensuring product scalability, and mentoring the engineering team to deliver high-impact outcomes.
 
You'll contribute across backend systems, automation, data capability, cloud infrastructure, and broader product delivery, helping BTune mature its internal operating model so delivery can scale efficiently alongside commercial growth.
 
What You'll Do 

• Architect and develop scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives and engineering best practices
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team
• Drive innovation and make key technical decisions that enhance performance, security, and maintainability
• Ensure software reliability through rigorous testing, code reviews, and engineering discipline
• Translate complex requirements into actionable technical solutions through cross-functional collaboration
• Optimise development workflows with automation and CI/CD pipelines

 
What You'll Bring 

• Advanced proficiency in Python, C#, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and scalable system architecture
• Proven ability to analyse complex technical challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions
• Demonstrated experience guiding, supporting, and developing engineering teams
• Strong communication skills—able to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• A proactive approach to staying ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends
