About the role

The Role:

As an Application Analyst, you'll support and enhance the ServiceNow platform, focusing on development, configuration, and automation. This isn't just an admin role, you'll be writing JavaScript, building workflows, and integrating systems while progressively taking on more complex technical challenges.
This role is based in Dunedin. 

Your day-to-day will include: 

  • Developing and configuring ServiceNow applications, workflows, and business logic using JavaScript, JSON, and ServiceNow scripting
  • Supporting platform administration including client scripts, business rules, UI policies, flows, catalogue items, and notifications
  • Assisting with integrations between ServiceNow and external systems via REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, and APIs
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and debugging applications across environments
  • Building technical documentation for configurations and customisations
  • Working with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Committing to achieving ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification within your first year
 
About You:
 
You're technically capable, enjoy problem-solving, and learn new platforms quickly. You might have some ServiceNow exposure already, or you're coming from another technical system with strong scripting fundamentals.
 
Essential:
  • Proven experience with JavaScript and JSON
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with REST APIs (consuming or building), including JSON-based payloads
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of web technologies and client/server concepts
  • Experience working in a technical support, development, or engineering rol
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes and service management principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
