Software Product Manager — 14-month Fixed Term (Parental Leave Cover)

Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
This is a key product role spanning product and technology, where you’ll own and guide the ongoing development of a flagship B2B software product. You’ll work closely with engineering, project teams, support, finance and other stakeholders to ensure the platform continues to deliver meaningful value for customers and the wider organisation.

You’ll bring clarity to priorities and decision-making shaping roadmap plans, running backlog prioritisation, and overseeing releases. You’ll also help translate customer and business needs into scalable product outcomes, balancing strategic direction with practical delivery. * 14-month fixed term (parental leave cover, including handover) 
* Collaborative, cross-functional environment (product, engineering, delivery, support, finance) 
* Microsoft / Azure-based stack (Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud desirable)

The skills and experience we need you to bring
* 5–7+ years’ experience in software product management / product ownership, with hands-on Agile experience 
* Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and confidence working day-to-day with engineers 
* Ability to scope and analyse business problems, then shape workable product solutions 
* Strong stakeholder and client-facing communication — able to lead technology-based discussions 
* Strong prioritisation, organisation and delivery mindset (you keep things moving) 
* Desirable: Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, QA oversight/support, and some SQL knowledge
