Business Development Manager - Enterprise Solutions
About the role
Business Development Manager
ANZ | New Product Launch
Why you’d look at this
- True new business role, not account management
- Leading the go-to-market for a new MRP solution
- Selling into SME manufacturing with a clear value story
- Strong backing from an established engineering and solutions business
This is a genuine market-facing BDM role where you’ll be responsible for building momentum around a new MRP solution across ANZ. The initial focus is SME manufacturing. You’ll be identifying opportunities, getting in front of decision-makers, and leading conversations around planning, supply chain, inventory, and operational efficiency. It’s a consultative sale. You’ll be working with CEOs, COOs, and operational leaders to understand where things are breaking down, then positioning a solution that ties back to real business outcomes like capacity, working capital, and visibility. You won’t be doing this alone. There’s a broader solutions stack and internal SMEs across consulting, engineering, and product that you’ll bring in as needed. But you’ll own the relationship, the opportunity, and the outcome. Over time, the scope broadens beyond manufacturing into other sectors as the product gains traction.
The environment
Established business with a strong footprint in engineering and digital solutions, now investing in expanding its MRP/ERP capability. It’s a growth phase. There’s structure where it matters, but enough space for you to build, shape, and execute your own approach.
What they’re looking for
- Proven experience selling MRP and/or ERP solutions into manufacturing or similar environments
- Strong new business capability. Prospecting, building pipeline, and closing complex deals
- Comfortable running multi-stakeholder sales processes and engaging at an executive level
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations. Planning, inventory, procurement, production, that sort of thing
- Able to build business cases and sell on value, not features
- Existing relationships across SME manufacturing in ANZ
- Experience in engineering-led or discrete manufacturing environments
- Exposure to structured sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger, etc.)
- Some awareness of AI/ML in a business context
