About the role

Join a technically strong engineering team developing automated test systems that support the delivery of advanced video, AI and imaging products used in homes around the world.

This role focuses on building and maintaining automated testing capability across software and device environments. You will work closely with developers, product managers and QA engineers to validate functionality, performance and scalability across APIs, firmware and hardware modules. The work involves designing automation frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across complex systems.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborating with developers, product managers and QA engineers to understand software requirements, design specifications and user stories
  • Designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, tools and scripts
  • Building automated test suites across APIs, firmware and device components
  • Testing across software and hardware modules including device-level environments
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support build and release processes
  • Creating and maintaining test plans, test cases and test data to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Executing automated tests, analysing results and working with engineering teams to resolve issues
  • Supporting test reporting, coverage tracking and quality metrics
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to code reviews and automation standards
  • Working with global engineering teams to support product delivery
Required skills and experience
  • 3+ years experience in product software testing with coding capability in an object-oriented language such as Java or Python
  • Experience developing and executing automated test frameworks and automated test suites
  • Experience testing software integrated with hardware or device components
  • Experience working in Linux or Unix environments and using scripting tools
  • Exposure to firmware or device-level testing
  • Experience with CI/CD environments and tools such as Jenkins, AWS or Ansible
  • Experience creating test plans, identifying test cases and maintaining a structured test case database
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and attention to detail
Nice to have
  • Experience working closely with development teams to identify and implement automated test cases
  • Experience integrating automated tests into continuous development and deployment pipelines
  • Experience with Raspberry Pi systems
  • Knowledge of image processing or computer vision
  • Experience working in Agile environments
