About the role

Why you would like it:

  • Own CI/CD and cloud foundations end-to-end (not just tickets)
  • Mix of DevOps, infrastructure, and database platforms
  • Meaningful stakeholder engagement, including customer-facing problem solving
  • Plenty of scope to improve reliability, security, and automation

The opportunity:

This is a senior-level DevOps role for someone who enjoys being close to production and cares about making platforms run better every month. You’ll take a lead role across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational practices, while also supporting key database platforms. There’s a strong practical focus: automate what’s repeatable, stabilise what’s fragile, and lift security and disaster recovery maturity.

You’ll work alongside development and QA, and you’ll also have direct engagement with customers and third parties - so communication and calm problem-solving matter as much as technical depth.

Company profile:

An established technology company with an infrastructure-focused team supporting business-critical platforms and customer environments. The culture suits people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and like improving how work gets done.

The role:
  • Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; improve release reliability
  • Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure (Azure; AWS/GCP exposure useful)
  • Support and enhance database environments (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, Firebird)
  • Strengthen monitoring, failover, disaster recovery, and firewall integrity
  • Automate deployments and operational tasks (PowerShell, YAML, .NET Core)
  • Champion DevOps ways of working; uplift practices across the team
  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders; resolve escalations within SLAs
Your fit:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior DevOps / infrastructure engineering role
  • Strong Azure capability (design, operations, cost awareness, resilience)
  • Hands-on CI/CD delivery experience (not just administration)
  • Solid grounding in databases (SQL Server/Azure SQL; Firebird a bonus)
  • Infrastructure-as-code exposure (Terraform and/or ARM templates)
  • Scripting / automation skills (PowerShell, YAML; .NET Core helpful)
  • Clear communicator who stays composed under pressure and takes ownership
  • Comfortable working with customers and third parties when needed
