About the role

Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Python Developer for a 3-month contract starting in April, to build a process to collect and injest data from enterprise organisations in New Zealand. The goal is to improve timeliness, reduce errors, and ensure coherent, reliable data outputs. You’ll take ownership of defined development tasks, write clean and testable Python code, and help deliver reliable data workflows within a tight timeframe. 

Term: 3-month contract with a potential for extension for the right candidate
Start Date: April 1st, 2026
Location: Christchurch preferred

The skills and experience we need you to bring
-Strong core Python development skills (intermediate-senior level), with a focus on clean, maintainable code 
-Experience working with data pipelines / data processing in Python 
-Solid testing knowledge and a quality-first approach
-SQL skills (intermediate-senior level) 
-Ability to work independently and deliver with minimal oversight
-Strong communication skills for cross collaboration
-Nice to have: Databricks and/or cloud environment experience
