Technical Delivery Coordinator
About the role
The company
With over a decade of global partnerships, they've built a reputation for producing the type of interface software and integrated hardware solutions that can be used with global commercial electronics manufactures by plugging in to their product catalogue simply. Their intuitive design and analytics capability makes them a strong choice for organisations that require any type of touchscreen interface globally. The team works in a product development environment — hardware and software are continuously improved, released, and refined rather than delivered once and handed over. This is not a one-off installation or infrastructure rollout setting.
Why now
Demand across customer projects has increased while hardware and software products continue to evolve. As volume has grown, delivery coordination across these workstreams has become a clear pressure point.
This role has been created to strengthen hands-on delivery capability. The focus is on bringing ownership and structure to execution, ensuring work moves predictably and teams are not pulled away from their core responsibilities.
Your role
This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who enjoys being close to execution and helping teams get outcomes across the line.
You’ll sit at the centre of delivery across hardware and software initiatives, working with engineering, QA, product, manufacturing partners, and customers. The role is cross-functional, occasionally customer-facing, and focused on keeping work aligned and progressing.
You’ll support several projects in parallel, each at a different stage - from early hardware samples through to customer rollout - so organisation and context switching are important.
The role breaks down into these core components:
Delivery Coordination
Help drive planning and follow-through across hardware and software workstreams.
This includes coordinating:
- prototypes and sample units
- suppliers and manufacturing partners
- firmware readiness
- shipment and deployment timing
Execution & Release Support
Support software release readiness, including UAT coordination and preparation for deployment onto physical devices.
Work closely with engineering and QA to ensure hardware and software are ready at the same time before customer rollout.
You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable understanding what needs to happen before a device can safely ship.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Support delivery conversations with customers and help manage expectations when priorities or constraints change - especially where hardware lead times or integration issues affect timing.
You’ll help provide clear delivery status and keep communication consistent.
Pre-sales & Planning Support
Contribute practical delivery input during early discussions.
Help highlight sequencing risks, supplier constraints, and trade-offs before commitments are made.
Level of experience
This role suits someone early in their delivery career.
You’ve likely supported delivery rather than formally owned it.
You may have coordinated work, handled escalations, organised releases, or been the person teams rely on to keep things moving.
You won’t be expected to have done every part of the role before - you’ll grow into full delivery ownership over time.
The fit
Experience within a product development environment is important. This role is less suited to infrastructure rollout or construction-style delivery and better suited to someone who has worked on products that move from prototype to release and continue to evolve.
You’re organised, practical, and comfortable working in a technical environment involving physical products.
What matters is you’ve been close to real hardware delivery - dealing with engineers, suppliers, production timelines, and changing priorities - and want to take the next step.
You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should feel comfortable asking questions, raising risks early, and understanding how hardware and software interact.
You’re hands-on, calm under pressure, and happy working across boundaries.
Please note, only candidates currently based in New Zealand with valid working rights will be considered.
