The opportunity: 

This permanent Senior SRE role sits in a team building the platform foundations needed for faster, safer releases. The focus is engineering, Infrastructure as Code, repeatable environments, and automation. You’ll partner with software teams to enable delivery, improve reliability, and establish secure-by-default patterns, particularly as new services are built and legacy capability is phased out.

The role:

• Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform (essential)
• Improve environment consistency, reliability, and deployment patterns 
• Automate operational tasks and reduce manual overhead 
• Contribute to identity/security foundations as part of platform engineering

Your fit:

• Deep hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) in production at scale
• Experience with, operating and managing complex systems in customer-facing production web environments. Operation and architecture of multi-tier distributed systems, ideally involving real-time event processing.
• Strong Azure engineering experience (not purely admin) 
• Terraform expertise in production 
• Experience with scripting language (Ruby, Bash, Python)
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and visualisation tools (Grafana, SumoLogic, Datadog)
• Understanding of automated provisioning. Knowledge of tooling such as Chef, Ansible or Puppet
• Experience building or using containerisation and PaaS products
• Comfortable with identity and security concepts in cloud environments
