About the role

Deliverables/Purpose:

Join a data enablement and governance squad to design and build intuitive, performant interfaces that make complex data actionable. You’ll lead user research, map journeys, prototype in Figma, and translate designs into high-quality Angular/React code. You’ll shape the design system and component library, integrate with RESTful APIs, uphold accessibility (WCAG), and drive usability testing and performance optimisation across devices and browsers.

Contract details:

• Length: 12 months
• Location: Auckland, hybrid working
• Team: Product Owner, front-end and backend engineers within a data enablement/governance function

The skills and experience we need you to bring:

• 5+ years’ front-end experience with a strong UX/UI focus working on large scale complex project within enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript; MUST have hands-on in both Angular and React development
• Figma, plus Sketch/Adobe XD; strong user-centred design practice.
• Accessibility know-how (WCAG) and responsive, component-based UI development.
• Experience with SASS/LESS, Webpack/Babel; Git; integrating RESTful APIs.
• Proven delivery of enterprise-scale component libraries/design systems.
• Strength in usability testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication; able to translate between technical and business needs; Agile ways of working.
