Join a small, high‑trust product team to build and launch a native web application from the ground up. Over your first six months you’ll ship a production‑ready app, define the product roadmap with the CTO, and lay the architectural guardrails for scale, performance, and security. You’ll turn a clear product vision into real customer value, while setting the conditions to grow a pragmatic engineering function. An early‑stage, product‑led organisation working at the intersection of data platforms and AI, based in Auckland with a collaborative, high‑trust culture. The founders have successfully led multiple early stage businesses to exit and you will be part of their next global venture.

The role:

• Own architecture, development, and maintenance of the web application
• Translate product vision into secure, reliable, performant features
• Collaborate with the CTO on application and data architecture
• Ship end‑to‑end: UI, APIs/services, testing, observability
• Apply sound security practices and reviews
• Help recruit, mentor, and uplift engineering standards

Your fit:

• 5+ years in full‑stack development with proven delivery
• Strong front‑end: React and TypeScript; design/UX sensibility
• Back‑end experience building APIs/services (language agnostic)
• Comfortable with data‑heavy interfaces and complex state
• Familiar with AI tools and modern developer productivity
• Solid grasp of security best practice (e.g. OWASP, auth, secrets)
• Thrives in small teams; adaptable, hands‑on, low‑ego
• Appetite for risk, ownership, and mentoring others
