About the role

The company
With over a decade of global partnerships, they've built a reputation for producing the type of interface software and integrated hardware solutions that can be used with global commercial electronics manufactures by plugging in to their product catalogue simply. Their intuitive design and analytics capability makes them a strong choice for organisations that require any type of touchscreen interface globally.

Why now
Demand across customer projects has increased while hardware and software products continue to evolve. As volume has grown, delivery coordination across these workstreams has become a clear pressure point.

This role has been created to strengthen hands-on delivery capability. The focus is on bringing ownership and structure to execution, ensuring work moves predictably and teams are not pulled away from their core responsibilities.

Your role
This is a hands-on Delivery Manager role for someone who enjoys being close to execution and taking responsibility for getting things delivered.

You’ll sit at the centre of delivery across hardware and software initiatives, coordinating work across engineering, QA, product, manufacturing partners, and customers. The role is cross-functional, customer-facing when required, and strongly delivery-focused rather than process-heavy.

You’ll manage multiple projects in parallel. Currently this looks like two to three active customer projects, with an expectation this will increase as demand grows. Each project sits at a different stage, so strong prioritisation and comfort with context switching are essential.

The role breaks down into these core components:

Delivery Coordination
You’ll own delivery planning, sequencing, and follow-through across hardware and software workstreams. This includes managing dependencies, surfacing risks early, and keeping timelines realistic as priorities shift. Hardware delivery experience is essential, with direct involvement in samples, prototypes, and coordination through to production handover.

Execution & Release Management
You’ll coordinate software release cycles end to end, including planning, UAT, and readiness for customer deployment. You’ll work closely with engineering and QA to ensure delivery is stable, issues are addressed early, and commitments are met across multiple concurrent projects.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
You’ll support delivery conversations with customers, manage change requests, and help reset scope or timelines when constraints emerge. You’ll act as a clear point of contact for delivery status, ensuring expectations remain aligned with what can realistically be delivered.

Pre-sales & Planning Support
You’ll contribute to delivery estimates and scoping for new work, bringing practical delivery insight into early conversations. This includes highlighting sequencing risks, dependency impacts, and delivery trade-offs before commitments are made.

The fit
This role suits someone who is organised, delivery-focused, and comfortable working in technically complex environments.

You’ll have proven experience delivering hardware products, working across engineering, manufacturing, and external vendors. Software delivery experience is important, but depth can be flexible if you are strong at managing delivery and understanding how hardware and software interact.

You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to be technically credible. You should feel comfortable challenging estimates, calling risks early, and working closely with engineers across locations.

You’re hands-on, calm under pressure, and not precious about role boundaries. You enjoy owning delivery and growing with the role as the business scales, this role sits below senior program or delivery leadership level.

Please note, only candidates currently based in New Zealand with valid working rights will be considered.
