About the role
We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a Christchurch-based Technology Services team on a 6-month fixed term contract.

You’ll work closely with platform owners, product stakeholders, and technical specialists to support the development and enhancement of data services using tools like Databricks and data warehousing platforms.

What you’ll be doing

• Gathering, analysing, and documenting business and technical requirements
• Translating needs into scalable, data-driven solutions
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver consistent outcomes
• Facilitating workshops and discussions to define priorities and scope
• Supporting improvements to data processes and integration points
• Applying both structured and agile approaches to delivery

What we’re looking for

• 4–5 years’ experience as a Technical or IT Business Analyst in a complex environment
• Strong understanding of data management and application development
• Experience with data platforms (Databricks or similar) and data warehousing
• Excellent communication skills across business and technical audiences
• Agile, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
