About the role

Contract Details

• 6-month hourly rate contract, 4-5 days per week.
• ASAP start available.
• Must be based in Nelson for the duration, at least 3 days per week.
• Coming in at design phase for digital infrastructure projects

Deliverables/Purpose

You'll be coming in at early stages focused on design phase of the digital infrastructure for a significant large-scale transformation. As Project Manager your role centres on coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders and vendors and identifying risks before they become roadblocks. You'll be the person who makes it all happen seamlessly, while maintaining quality standards and alignment to overall objectives. 
 
Your Fit

Your ability to adapt to changing directions with ease, promote collaboration and operating as a team, and confidence to be comfortable in ambiguity will contribute to your success in this role. This is not a hands-on delivery position, you will need to be comfortable in early phases of projects.

• 5+ years demonstrable experience in IT project management within complex organisations.
• Experience adapting in highly ambigious environments, with fast changing priorities.
• Essential to have digital infrastructure project knowledge, experience in fitouts advantageous.
• Proven experience project managing through design phase rather than delivery.
• Strong leadership and prioritisation, stakeholder management and vendor engagements skills.
• Background in public sector experience desirable.
