About Us | Mō Mātou
Crown Law serves as the legal backbone of the government, offering expert advice and representation on matters that impact the executive branch. From judicial reviews and constitutional questions—including those related to Te Tiriti o Waitangi/Treaty of Waitangi—to criminal prosecutions and revenue protection, they play a vital role in upholding the rule of law in Aotearoa. With around 250 kaimahi, Crown Law is embarking on a digital transformation rooted in public service values and a firm commitment to modern, efficient, and digitally enabled ways of working. This transformation is backed by a bold new strategy that aims to go beyond incremental upgrades, leapfrogging legacy limitations to shape a future-ready, high-performing technology environment.
About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
As an Intermediate Cloud Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in Crown Law’s transformation journey. Reporting to the IT & Programme Manager, you’ll be hands-on in building and securing our Azure and hybrid environments, helping shift the organisation from legacy systems to a modern, cloud-first foundation. This is a role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves technically while also bringing people with them. You’ll design and deliver solutions that are resilient and secure, but just as importantly, you’ll explain them in ways that build trust and confidence across the organisation.
You don’t need to be the finished product in every technical domain. What matters most is your ability to communicate well, work independently in an evolving landscape, and lean into opportunities to grow. With curiosity, empathy, and a collaborative spirit, you’ll help Crown Law build a future-ready environment where technology enables our people to do their best work.
