Senior Business Analyst
About the role
Crew Technology Recruitment is excited to partner with Enable, Christchurch’s trusted fibre broadband provider, to find an outstanding Senior Business Analyst. Enable connects people, businesses, and schools to critical infrastructure with reliability and care. This is a permanent role and on-site in Christchurch, New Zealand. We are only able to consider candidates who hold current New Zealand work rights.
The Role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in Enable’s continuous improvement and digital transformation work. You’ll engage with stakeholders across the business and with external vendors, and contribute to smarter, more efficient ways of working through great analysis and practical solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with internal teams to understand needs, gather requirements, and translate these into actionable improvements.
- Strong elicitation skills are key to this role – being able to really “run a room” with a varied set of stakeholders
- Being curious – flexible, creative, and be confident in sharing your ideas
- Supporting agile planning and delivery, including backlog management, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Having a view on simplification and an eye on value is key
- Applying structured approaches to change management and adoption.
- Contributing to and developing business cases, documentation, and functional specifications.
- Mentoring & supporting other BA’s within the team when required.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate clearly across business and technical audiences.
- Proven experience working with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
- Scrum Master certification is a bonus
- Familiarity with tools including Visio/ProMapp, Miro, DevOps
- Industry knowledge in telecommunications, OSS/BSS, or IT frameworks (e.g. ITIL, TMForum) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working within complex enterprise or transformation environments.
