Job Duties:
As a Senior Backend Developer, you’ll design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance services for connected products.

• Architect and develop backend solutions using strongly typed performant languages (e.g., Rust, Go, TypeScript)
• Work with Azure Cloud Services, managing infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Optimise databases — Postgres, SQL Server — for performance and reliability
• Implement secure authentication and authorisation (OAuth, PKI, code signing)
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and integrations with front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems in production environments
• Contribute to technical direction, best practices, and continuous improvement
• Keep up to date with new backend tools, frameworks, and cloud trends

You Must Have:

• Strong backend development skills — you write clean, scalable code
• Confidence with Azure Cloud Services and infrastructure automation
• Proven experience with Postgres and/or SQL Server
• Hands-on knowledge of strongly typed performant backend languages
• Solid understanding of OAuth, PKI, and secure coding practices
• Basic front-end experience to collaborate effectively with fullstack teams
• 5-7+ years of development experience delivering real products
