The Role

• Develop and maintain comprehensive data governance roadmaps aligned with business priorities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish data policies, standards and stewardship frameworks
• Evaluate and manage relationships with data technology vendors and solution providers
• Lead data governance backlog prioritisation, balancing business needs with risk reduction requirements
• Partner with technical teams to implement data governance tools and technologies
• Articulate data governance concepts to stakeholders across varying levels of data maturity
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including GDPR and privacy legislation
• Drive initiatives around data quality, master data management and data lineage
• Support content management and document governance initiatives

Your Fit

• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and DAMA DMBOK principles
• Experience with data governance tools such as Informatica, Atlan, Collibra or similar platforms
• Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and business audiences
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and data privacy considerations
• Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating technology solutions
• Background in content management systems including SharePoint or OpenText
• Analytical mindset with ability to assess data risk and governance maturity levels
