The opportunity:

This is a key technical role within a respected New Zealand organisation undergoing significant digital transformation. You'll be joining at an exciting time as they evolve their infrastructure from traditional on-premises solutions to hybrid and cloud-native architectures. You'll have the opportunity to work across the full stack of cloud and compute infrastructure, building resilient solutions while optimizing for performance and cost-effectiveness.

The role:

• Design, implement and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions across Azure and on-premises environments
• Maintain and optimize virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) to ensure optimal performance
• Implement automation strategies and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve efficiency
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and lead problem resolution activities
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure meets security requirements
• Work with stakeholders across the business to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in BAU tasks and specialized projects as required by the Infrastructure team

Your fit:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure management, particularly in Azure environments
• Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and SAN technologies
• Practical experience implementing and supporting hybrid cloud solutions
• Understanding of infrastructure automation, including infrastructure-as-code approaches
• Knowledge of security protocols and technologies 
• Familiarity with disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions
• Proactive problem-solving approach with strong analytical skills
