The Role

• Maintain and troubleshoot legacy applications built with older programming languages and frameworks
• Gradually refactor code and systems to modern standards and architectures
• Develop new features using a mix of established and contemporary technologies
• Implement automated testing to ensure system reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
• Contribute to architectural discussions on modernisation approaches
• Support deployment processes and infrastructure improvements
• Document systems and share knowledge with the wider development team

Your Fit

• Strong experience with web technologies including JavaScript frameworks, C#/.Net and server-side technologies
• Solid background in object-oriented programming languages
• Experience with containerisation technologies
• Proficient with various database systems (relational and NoSQL)
• Familiar with modern testing frameworks
• Knowledge of Azure cloud and infrastructure as code
• Comfortable with distributed version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Adaptable mindset with a pragmatic approach to balancing maintenance and innovation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts
