Senior Cyber Security Engineer – L4 
Location: Auckland or Wellington

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a high-performing Managed Services team. This role involves working with enterprise clients to provide expert-level security incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security incident response and threat management, including investigation and remediation.
  
  
• Endpoint security and vulnerability management, particularly with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (XDR).
  
  
• Implementation of complex security changes within an ITIL-aligned framework.
  
  
• Collaboration with SOC analysts, internal teams, and third-party vendors.
  
  
• Ensuring security operations align with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
  
  

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in cyber security, particularly in endpoint security.
  
  
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Defender Suite (XDR, DFE for Cloud) and other EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, Trellix, Symantec).
  
  
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 Security, Active Directory, and Windows OS (Linux experience is a plus).
  
  
• Experience working in an ITIL-aligned managed services environment.
  
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage security threats at scale.
  
  

• Work on enterprise-scale security environments with 3,000+ endpoints.
