The role:
This exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join an established IT team, based across the Queenstown and Central Otago region. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of our client’s IT systems while delivering outstanding support to our internal customers and stakeholders.Your responsibilities will include supporting the client's IT infrastructure, installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications, and monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various IT projects.
This is a full-time, salaried role with 40 hours per week. Based in Queenstown - Central Otago.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have ideally 3 years of experience in a Desktop Support position. You will enjoy working with people providing great customer service and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Additionally, you will have:
- Knowledge of PC operating systems - Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Windows Servers
- Extensive experience problem-solving issues with Windows desktop and Microsoft Office environments,
- Experience and practical knowledge of networks, PC hardware & printers
- Firewalls and Network connectivity knowledge
- Understanding of Switch and router management
- PowerBI experience is preferred but not essential
