They are seeking a highly skilled Systems and Cloud Engineer to join their innovative and forward-thinking team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while maintaining and enhancing a robust IT infrastructure that supports business operations.
About the role:
As the Systems and Cloud Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring stability, efficiency, and security across a diverse range of systems, applications, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to troubleshoot, implement, and optimise solutions, ensuring seamless functionality and continual improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimising cloud solutions, including Azure and O365.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure issues to maintain operational excellence.
- Collaborating on security initiatives and ensuring compliance.
- Leading incident management and contributing to post-incident reviews.
- Implementing and decommissioning systems to enhance resiliency and reduce complexity.
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer in large organisations.
- Strong expertise in virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud services (Azure, AWS), and networking technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Industry certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or CCNP are highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and backup solutions like Veeam.
