The Role
As a Solutions Architect, you'll design and maintain robust cloud-based systems with an emphasis on AWS infrastructure. Work closely with the chief architect, product owners, and a development team to ensure seamless integration and optimization. Influence cross-functional teams and mentor others while contributing to significant projects aligning with strategic business objectives. Your expertise in cloud security and CI/CD will help keep the company at the forefront of their industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design large or complex solution systems fulfilling business requirements.
- Ensure the solution design balances functional and non-functional requirements.
- Review and adapt systems designs and techniques, contributing to policies and standards.
- Provide guidance on planning, design, and service improvement.
- Collaborate on creating systems capability strategies meeting strategic requirements.
- Set processes for availability targets, service non-availability, and disaster recovery.
- Identify innovation opportunities in systems and software life cycle practices.
- Develop and deploy environments supporting systems and software life cycle practices.
What We're Looking For in You
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or a related field that equips you with the foundational knowledge for this role.
- Professional Experience: You've honed your skills in architecting and deploying products to cloud-based infrastructures, bringing substantial experience to the table.
- AWS Expertise: You're familiar with AWS, especially in areas like compute, networking, and storage, and you know your way around infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Security Focus: You have a keen eye for security, particularly with AWS IAM, ensuring systems are safe and secure.
- Development Skills: Experience in developing server or multi-user applications is ideal, along with a knack for designing user-friendly interfaces.
- Team Player: You excel in collaborative settings, sharing ideas and solving problems together.
- Communication Skills: Your strong interpersonal skills make you an effective mentor and communicator, able to explain complex concepts with ease.
- Organizational Prowess: You manage your time effectively, prioritizing tasks to ensure seamless project execution.
