The Role:
As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Participate in data migration and integration efforts, particularly pulling data into Splunk (highly preferred).
• Support and grow the data logging platform to provide the Security Operations Centre (SOC) with full visibility of security event data.
• Troubleshoot, operate and configure tools such as Cloudera NiFi, Apache Kafka, and automation scripts (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Puppet).
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of data systems.
• Work on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP to support security operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and design data-focused solutions.

Your Fit:

• Strong experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role) with exposure to cybersecurity environments.
• Proficiency in Splunk (highly preferred) or other logging/monitoring platforms.
• Experience with Cloudera NiFi, MiniFi, and Apache Kafka for data integration and onboarding.
• Familiarity with Big Data administration, ETL processes, and automation scripting (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Puppet).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is essential.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as CodeFresh, GitHub, and Bamboo for seamless integrations.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a customer-centric approach.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in database administration (PostgreSQL or similar).
• Systems administration experience in Redhat or Windows.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Relevant cloud certifications.
