1. The promoter is Potentia Ltd whose registered office is at Level 6, 3-13 Shortland St, Auckland.

2. Employees of Potentia Ltd or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Future Innovators in Tech programme or helping to set up the Future Innovators in Tech programme shall not be permitted to apply. 

3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to apply for the Future Innovators in Tech programme. All Primary, Intermediate and Secondary schools in the Auckland region and covered by the educational boards listed below are eligible to apply:

5. Closing date for applications will be 14 April 2017. After this date the no further applications to the Future Innovators in Tech programme will be permitted.

6. No responsibility can be accepted for applications not received for whatever reason.

7. The rules are as follows: Auckland-based Schools must complete an online application form to apply for the Future Innovators in Tech programme. All applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges and a shortlist announced on 1 May. The winner of the $10,000 grant (from the shortlist of schools) will be determined by popular vote via the Potentia Facebook page and announced on 10 May 2017. Voting on Potentia’s Facebook page will run for seven days (from 9am on 1 May to midnight on 7 May) and will be open to the general public. The prize is a $10,000 cheque to the winning school to support and enhance the teaching of computing skills.

8. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Future Innovators in Tech programme and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the Future Innovators in Tech programme will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

9. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with the Future Innovators in Tech programme.

10. No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

11. The shortlist will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Potentia and voting will take place on the Potentia Facebook page from 9am on 1 May and close at midnight on 7 May to determine the winner. The winner will be the school with the most votes.

12. The winning school will be notified by email and/or letter within 7 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

13. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.

14. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Future Innovators in Tech programme will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

15. By applying for the Future Innovators in Tech grant, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

16. The Future Innovators in Tech programme and these terms and conditions will be governed by New Zealand law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

17. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current New Zealand data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

18. The winner’s name will be available 28 days after closing date by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the following address Potentia, Level 6, 3-13 Shortland St, Auckland

19. Applications to the Future Innovators in Tech programme will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
