My path to recruitment like many others was very accidental after I was bullied into attending an internal recruitment careers night with a friend early in 2016. I was instantly drawn to the idea of being a career match maker and being able to be involved in tech without needing to be techy, and the rest so they say is history. In my pre-recruitment life I have held Account Management or Sales roles across a range of industries including advertising at the Yellow Pages back when you couldn’t have survived without the printed book and Barnardos, New Zealand’s leading children’s charity.
I love helping people solve their problems and connecting the dots wherever possible and I especially love being able to geek out on the phenomenal ways that people are using tech to innovate and create.
On the weekend I’ll most likely be...: #mumlifeing kids sports and events, taxi driving and solving first world teenage woes. When I get the chance though I’ll sneak out for a walk in one of our amazing local tracks, some yoga or some downtime with my besties.
Weirdest travel destination: Rangitukia , where my whanau are from. It’s not exotic but it’s in the middle of nowhere, people still use horses for transport, the sun rises like nowhere else and time almost stands still while you’re there.
Tech I couldn’t live without: Online shopping and Netflix are pretty close but I actually don’t think I could live without online shopping now. Countdown online = life changing.
