The opportunity:

Identifying the potential safety and privacy issues but also huge opportunity of drone technology, a new product suite and service offering is being created to keep both users and the public engaged and safe. These products will educate the public around drone technology, help foster a community of responsible users and assist with regulation and security. The role will see you creating the digital experience across two mobile applications and a full website revamp. Long term there will be AR and VR implementation for a fully immersive user experience.

Role snapshot:

Working with a small, but passionate team you will take ownership of all aspects of product design, helping them soar to new heights. Being a pivotal time for the organisation your work will help to identify what users want from these new product offerings and how to best present this information so they have an exceptional experience. Sitting in the pilots seat, you'll carry out heavy market and user research and utilise your findings to redesign the existing website and provide design concepts from scratch for the new apps. You'll further build out user personas to really understand their needs and wants and liaise with a range of stakeholders and vendors along the way. Solving complex UX problems will be your end game, building wireframes, prototypes and implementing attractive designs.

To be successful in the role you will have:
  • 3+ years UX/UI product design experience
  • Ideally experience designing across a range of platforms/technologies e.g. web, mobile, VR, AR, etc...
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is beneficial
  • Demonstrable portfolio of high quality work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An interest in the aviation industry or drone technology beneficial
