The Organisation

With 25+ years of operation, the business has gone through steady market growth and more recently has embarked on their biggest system transformation to date, to meet the needs of rapidly changing global security priorities. To make this tricky and critical environment as secure as Fort Knox, there is a strategy in place that now has to be developed and delivered.  The business has consolidated an array of systems and infrastructure applications, to help unleash the power of the complex data sets that exist across this organisation.

The Opportunity
This is where you come in. Essentially the role has three core areas; strategy and planning; acquisition and deployment, and; operational management. Based on these areas of operation, you will help mature the entire cyber landscape. Assisting the CISO you will set security practices and compliance policies, assess system gaps, and deliver the security roadmap.
You are able to educate and bring stakeholders on this journey to bring; thought leadership; data architecture strategy; enhance data-flows; create new cybersecurity and compliance innovations; and work with security providers and internal security operations, track and report on up-to-date baselines regarding the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, network devices, etc.).
You will work with the 25+/- strong IT team and communicate with the various business units to facilitate the safe delivery of new commercial operations.

What we need to see in your background
  • Previous experience in similarly influential security architecture/operational management roles within a medium to large organisation.
  • You will be a strategic thinker AND hands-on lead, who can transition architectures, predict and plan for the future IT ecosystems.
  • Experience with security governance, programme management and risk assessment
  • You can implement a security plan/architecture across an organisation, influencing stakeholder groups along the way.
  • A great attitude with an acute attention to detail - you're a self-starter and able to think on your feet, and you're more than willing to lead from the front.
  • You love to learn everything about Security and the future of this evolving landscape.
