The opportunity:

This position will suit an impassioned and hungry to learn analyst who likes to deep dive into the data, work closely with internal customers and generate real insights to affect decision making. With requests for analysis coming thick and fast from multiple departments you'll be comfortable delivering to these but also telling a story and really helping people understand the "why this matters' behind your discoveries. Supported by two other data teams, there will be strong opportunities to collaborate and help along the way if you need it. Being at the early stages of your career, there are strong progression paths down both the people or technical route and a dedicated manager keen to help you get there. 


Role snapshot:

On the day to day you'll lead by example carrying out market analysis, reporting, forecasting, modelling and generating insight across a range of media for internal stakeholders. This will be a mix of campaign, project and BAU work for multiple departments across the business. The end result across all of this work being how to increase and optimise revenue from their customers. In short, you'll be part of the team acting as the analytical and insight engine of the organisation. You'll utilise your expert Excel skills to analyse and present back your findings, really demonstrating how these golden nuggets of information can affect the bottom line. 


To be successful in this position you will require the following:  
  • Graduate level or 1-2 years experience in a similar commercial analyst role 
  • Strong data processing and manipulation skills in Excel 
  • Experience with Power BI highly beneficial 
  • R, Python, SQL, Tableau, or GA 360 experience beneficial 
  • Strong business/commercial acumen a must 
  • Ideally a tertiary background in Economics, Finance or Statistics
  • Ability to gather requirements and ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders 
  • Experience in at least two of the following: market, trading, supply and pricing analysis, demand and revenue forecasting, reporting and dashboarding/visualisations. 
  • A hungry problem solver, not afraid to dive deep and ask why
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
