Posted on 22 May 2018
It is with much pleasure we announce Jisu Lee as the 2018 recipient of the University of Auckland Potentia Undergraduate Scholarship in Computer Science. Jisu is the fifth such scholar in a line of impressive recipients in what is now considered a prestigious award sought by many aspirants. Apart from offering financial assistance to the tune of $5,000 to a Bachelor of Science student enrolled in software development, the award also provides a Graduate-in-Residence platform for the recipient to leverage the Potentia community to better prepare themselves for a working life. You can find out more about the entry criteria and selection process on the University of Auckland website.
“The scholarship attracted significant interest and all the seven shortlisted candidates would have been worthy of selection,” says Nathan Bryant-Taukiri, Managing Director of Potentia Limited. “The onerous selection process had all candidates present compelling cases with Jisu articulating a curiosity and zeal for programming that set her apart from her peers. Having worked in a Dunedin tech start-up and currently on the Executive of the Auckland University Computer Science Society, Jisu is well credentialled to progress her exciting journey through this award.”
In welcoming Jisu to the Potentia whanau, we congratulate her and wish her all the best for her studies as well.
