When I was younger I played a lot of sport. Over the years I was fortunate enough to have some amazing coaches who made me a better player, equipped me with the knowledge I needed to keep improving, and instilled habits that have lasted a lifetime. So why don’t we make better use of coaches in our careers and personal lives?

When it comes to careers, each and every one of us tread a different path. While the start may be similar for some, no two people share the same employment history, skills training, lessons learnt, project or client exposure. But, interestingly, while the outcomes are individualised, we all tend to follow a similar cycle through our employment with an organisation and the search for the next opportunity. And what drives this is satisfaction; of fit, growth, opportunities and happiness. How satisfied we are results in our staying or seeking.
